High Definition Home
Home technology management
Studio Mehler has aligned with High Definition Home of San Rafael for all its home automation needs. Their services include design, specification and installation of all audio, video, lighting, HVAC, security and data needs for private residences. Our showroom currently has a working media room complete with wide screen and full casework, a concealed flat screen over the fireplace in our Cottonwood library and we will soon see a countertop pop up television in one of our new Bentwood kitchen displays. Blum – Dynamic Space
We are constantly told by clients that they need additional linear footage of cabinetry to properly stock their kitchen. More than often this is not a true statement, they just need to be wiser about using the space they have. This is one of our specialties but our abilities have been greatly enhanced by the Blum Dynamic Space system. Tasks are broken down into zones and these areas are properly grouped into various parts of the kitchen eliminating wasted space, additional steps to complete tasks and over purchasing of various supplies. Since we installed Dynamic Space in our showroom Christiana display we’ve had a terrific response to this system particularly the very clever usage of the storage under the kitchen sink. Blum – Servo drives
Also installed in our Christiana kitchen is the “Servo Drive” handless drawer opening system by Blum. Since we have had these in the showroom for a period of time we now really understand the benefits of this very unique opening device. It never fails to get a response from everyone who sees these in the showroom. A simple soft touch to any drawer opens it – no handles, no recessed pulls, no channels. Their self closing mechanism takes the same soft motion. This is invaluable if your hands are full and you need to get at something fast. Christiana – green statement
Studio Mehler is encouraging all of our suppliers to be conscious of their production and distribution processes. As they improve and comply we are happy to continually update this section of our site to encourage out clients to support them.
Christiana’s commitment to the consumer has always been to provide the highest quality product being enmeshed in the traditions of Amish country in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
Currently their cabinetry is constructed of 100% formaldehyde-free plywood. In addition, they have recently made available a completely HAP's, formaldehyde, isocyanate, and nitrocellulose free finish. There are no noxious off-gases, VOC is very low and finishes meet or exceeds KCMA and ANSI performance requirements. In addition, for quality assurance their products are manufactured either in house or locally through vendors who share their same philosophy on preserving the environment. All of their cabinetry is completely formaldehyde free providing safe products for you and your family.
The plywood they use is purchased only from managed wood forests in the United States. They are participating members of the National Kitchen & Bath Association, and the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association. Radon – the Marble Institute
Study confirms no health threat from natural stone countertops
Environmental Health & Engineering Inc has released a study that did not find a single stone slab that posed a health risk to consumers. 400 tests of 115 different stones confirmed that quantities of radon and radiation emitted by stone fell well below average background levels commonly found in the U.S. The Executive Study results of this test can be found at the Marble Institute of America’s website www.marble-institute.com.
