One of the most popular installations on our website over the past year has been the Hazel/Bersiglieri Residence in Fairfax, California. We thought we’d give you a few more views of the property. This is a new home built and designed by the contractor/owner and his wife. We worked in tandem with the owners on many of the interior features and the result is a truly solid, grand design that really stands apart from most new projects we have worked on over the past few years. A central color palette was established for the entire project and was used in some manner in every area of the home. The scale is large yet never ostentatious, it fits perfectly on the tree covered site and blends well into the mature, established neighborhood. We offer our highest recommendations for Hazel Construction who we have worked with for over twenty years.

Pink Glove Dance
Our daughter-in-law, Emily Somers, created, directed and choreographed this in Portland last week for her Medline glove division as a fundraiser for breast cancer awareness. This was all her idea to help promote their new pink gloves. I don't know how she got so many employees, doctors and patients to participate, but it started to really catch on and they all had a lot of fun doing it.
When the video gets 1 million hits, Medline will be making a huge contribution to the hospital, as well as offering free mammograms for the community. Please check it out. It's an easy and great way to donate to a wonderful cause, and who hasn't been touched by breast cancer? Ann Somers
Many of you have seen the Pink Glove Dance video over the past ten days but we'd like to spread it to the people who haven't seen it. We've had people solicit us to buy pink hand tools, pink dinnerware as part of our kitchen packages and all sorts of unique ideas trying to raise money to find a cure for Breast Cancer. We fully support these efforts particularly this one that only requires a moment of your time to visit the site, sit back and smile.
Auton Motorized Systems - A Dream Machine - transform your world!
Studio Mehler has become known for our clever variety of methods of concealing flat screen televisions and a variety of equipment. This new mechanism from Auton really takes it to another level. Most clients that include a television in their list of requirements for a bedroom installation don’t want to see the screen. We have concealed wall screens with sliding covers of art and we have screens that pop out of pieces of furniture. Occasionally however there is no wall or room for a furniture piece in the room. Also, you might not want to block a view. This new mechanism from Auton solves the problem. The television is literally concealed under the bed. We would construct a bed frame to house this unit, the box spring and mattress and deliver it intact. Hook up the cable and the power and you’re done. This is truly something new. Christiana's Lazy Susan
Every cabinet manufacturer offers some sort of 180 degree corner lazy susan. These new LeMans units, featured by Christiana Cabinets, take that concept a step further. Instead of half of the lazy susan being exposed and the other half remaining in the cabinet this entire shelf pulls out to give you access to everything stored in that corner base cabinet. They also work independently of each other so you literally can see every item on each shelf. It seems like such a simple concept but cantilevering 65 pounds of items per shelf is no small feat.
